So, I moved to San Francsico

Well, at least my self. All my stuff is still in Seattle.

I'm really quite busy, and I keep getting sick over and over, but it's going very well here. I'm very glad I did this, but it's a lot of fucking work.

I still have to find a permanent place to live. I'm about ready to start ramping that up because I'm going to need some normalcy before too long.

Staying In Next Week

Ok I'm so staying in next week. (Until Friday)

Way too much crazy shit I've been doing the last few weeks, and 2 nights in a row of drinking was way too much.

It's time to go back to my boring self, staying home, playing video games.

Ohh yeah and actually packing to move to SF in 2 weeks.

Old Habits

I'm still trying to break the habit of unscrewing the brush from my Sonicare after I use it.

Going to San Francsico Thurday

I'm flying to San Francisco Thursday evening for a job interview Friday. I'm pretty excited, but it's all a bit scary. I may end up actually leaving Seattle, finally, but we'll see. The job has to work out, and I have another offer here.

The other place took me out to dinner tonight, trying to sell me on staying here and working for them.
I like the guys, but it's a much larger company (150 vs 10) and it's in Seattle.

Moving to San Francisco will be difficult because I'll have to rent my condo at a loss, and obviously move all my stuff and find a new place to live, which would be renting...

But it's more sun and it's new.

The guys at dinner tonight made the good point that I'd be giving up a big professional network I've built, which could be be pretty helpful if I ever wanted to start my own thing.

But, on the other hand, I've been here for 10 years now, and I feel like a change. I've been talking about leaving for years. I want more sun and something new.

Of course this could all be moot if they don't offer me the job. Then I have to decide if I stay at the place here, or stay where I am while I look for more sunny places.

Ahh, I know why my loud twitter quit working

I don't know if anyone cares, but yeah, my twitter posts here quit working a long time ago. Sad. I just found out it's because I let my paid account lapse. I'm not really interested in paying LiveJournal anymore, especially given recent events....

So if you give half a shit about what I say on twitter, which is most of what I say online these days, just follow me there, and I won't burden you with the crap being mirrored here.

http://twitter.com/kelp

I'm not even sure how much longer I'll pay attention to livejournal. If I start writing more long form stuff, I may do it elsewhere. Maybe Vox, or Blogger, or my own blog. Or I'll get lazy and come back here. Who knows.

Don't Forget To Vote

Make sure you vote tomorrow if you haven't already.

It's really fucking important. Don't think you can just stay home because the polls look good.
